Fifa 13 doing extremely well in the US, sales up 42% from last year

Fifa 13 has got itself to a good start in the US, according to the day one sales figures revealed by EA.

Across the PS3 and Xbox 360, the game sold 353,000 copies – a 42 per cent increase from the day one figures from last year. It seems the beautiful game might be finally making a proper impact Stateside with 1.4 million matches played online in the first 24 hours. That equates to a 35 per cent increase from Fifa 12.

The iOS edition of Fifa 13 also performed well, getting to number one on the paid games chart in 55 different countries. EA says that it’s the “biggest global launch-day performance of any iOS game on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch in EA history.”
