Broken Sword: The Serpent’s Curse hits Kickstarter goal
Charles Cecil and Revolution Software have raised the required $400,000 USD to make Broken Sword: The Serpent’s Curse. With 16 days still to go on the Kickstarter campaign, things are looking pretty healthy for the latest in the classic adventure game series.
On the subject of ‘stretch goals’ (the nifty extras that appear when a Kickstarter makes more than expected), Cecil says: “Stretch goals will include gameplay that had previously ended up on the cutting room floor, exotic new locations to explore, extra characters – some of which will be familiar – as well as a big surprise.” Revolution previously asked people what they wanted to see as optimistic extras when the game was at around 65% of funding. Quite a few of those offering their opinions wanted full voices in various languages other than English.

The game will be released on PC, Mac, Linux and Android in 2013.
