Toadally terrific: the CryEngine 3 tech demo
Gaming has finally achieved the long-awaited breakthrough in toad rendering that so many of us have been crying out for. Step forward, the CryEngine 3 tech demo, and receive the plaudits of every nation as you demonstrate a videogame toad in clarity the likes of which the world has never seen.
Oh right, there’s some other stuff in there relating to the environment of Crysis 3 as well, but I think we all know what the main event is here. Naturally, as this is a tech demo it’s unlikely that Crysis 3 will really look like that in-game (maybe if you have a super-powerful PC, and even then you’re probably going to be distracted by the guys shooting at you). Nonetheless, it’s a fine example of graphics technology at work.
Crysis 3 is coming next February.
