Sacred 3 teased in screenshot form

If you’ve been waiting for further news of the Sacred series, following the announcement of spin-off brawler Sacred Citadel, then wait no longer. Deep Silver has released a few images from the forthcoming follow-up to Ascaron’s Sacred 2: Fallen Angel. Of course, Ascaron no longer exists as a developer, so Deep Silver has given development duties to a company called Keen Games.

In Sacred 3, you’ll be attempting to retrieve the Heart of Ancaria and defeat oppressive ruler Zane Ashen. All of which sounds like a suitably fantasy-game type thing to be doing.

Four player co-op is promised and the game will be coming to PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2013. Looks to me like it’ll have a lot of staircases with fancy lighting effects.
