Planetside 2 beta delayed, not ready for “massive number of people”
Originally planned to start sometime this week, the Planetside 2 beta has been delayed, Sony Online Entertainment has announced.
The delay, as explained by SOE president John Smedley via twitter, is to allow the team time to add “polish” before letting the public test it out.
“Had planned for today or tomorrow,” said Smedley, “but we have some stuff we need to make sure is awesome. The team is working like crazy but we need to polish some stuff and test it before we let in a massive number of people.”
Hopefully the delay will be a short one, with Smedley saying that the beta could begin as early as Friday or Monday.
