Don’t go Sauron these Lego Lord of the Rings images

Comic-Con in San Diego is furnishing us with quite a few videogaming bits and pieces, including these new screenshots of Lego Lord of the Rings. Lego isn’t a comic, and neither is Lord of the Rings (at least, not when I was a kid) but none of that apparently matters because Warner Bros have released the images anyway.

With Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes still cruising relatively high in the charts, it seems people can’t get enough of Lego chaps wearing long cloaks.

Lego Lord of the Rings will follow the plot of Peter Jackson’s trilogy (which itself is based on the novels) and is due for release around October for pretty much every contemporary platform (PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Vita, PSP, DS, 3DS).
