DARK VALE GAMES OPENS 1,000 ADDITIONAL BETA SLOTS FOR UPCOMING INDIE PVP GAME FORGE
CARSLBAD, CA (JULY 25, 2012) — Dark Vale Games, an independent video game developer based in Southern California, has announced that they will offer 1,000 additional spots in the upcoming BETA test for FORGE, the multiplayer-only PC game that delivers truly unique multiplayer experience by bridging the gap between the fast, skill-based action of competitive first-person-shooters and the strategic competition of Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) games. The BETA for FORGE is expected to launch this summer.
“We are thrilled by the response we’ve received from both MMO PvPers and multiplayer shooter fans who have already signed-on to be among the first 10,000 players to try out FORGE’s brand of ‘Pure PvP,’” said Timothy Alvis, COO/CTO of Dark Vale Games. “This tsunami of interest from both the hardcore and mainstream player bases reaffirms what we believe – that PC gamers out there have been waiting for something different in competitive play. The Beta sign-ups alone have already kick-started a great dialogue between the team and the fans and because of this, we feel more players should have the opportunity to take part in the playtest. By adding in another 1,000 slots we all win – more gamers will try out the next great multiplayer game a bit early and the team will have that many more gamers’ voices to help us shape the future of FORGE.”
Gamers can sign up for the FORGE BETA on the game’s official Web site, www.PlayForgeWar.com. The additional FORGE BETA invites will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Fans should also join the game’s official Facebook page, at www.Facebook.com/playforgewar, to stay up-to-date with the latest insider information via blog posts, game news, breaking art and videos, and additional insight from – and interaction with – the development team.
