Azubu Blaze, SoloMid, Curse and Team Black to Compete in the First- Ever Major League Gaming Summer League of Legends Arena August 3-5

Major League Gaming (MLG) has determined the four teams that will participate in the first-ever Summer League of Legends Arena, which will be broadcast live on from August 3-5. Korean team Azubu Blaze, making their MLG debut, and North American team SoloMid, winners of the MLG Spring Championship, will join Team Black (EU qualifier winner) and Curse Gaming (North America qualifier winner) for the inaugural arena. The four teams will be flown, all-expenses paid, to NYC to compete for the $10,000 1st Place prize.

The broadcast kicks off on Friday, August 3 at 5pm ET/11pm CES and matches will be cast by the all-star lineup of Leigh Smith (Deman), Dan Dinh, and Trevor Henry (Quickshot). Every single match of the tournament will be broadcast resulting in more than 20 hours of action-packed gameplay.

The Arena will be broadcast live across three streams and all streams are free in standard definition. Viewers can upgrade to HD to watch all streams in up to 1080p without ads, and more. Two Dr Pepper Ultimate Access streams will also broadcast the teams’ in -game conversations.
Invited Teams:

Team Azubu Blaze: The team’s participation marks the first time a Korean League of Legends team has competed in a tournament in North America. Azubu Blaze won the OnGameNet The Champions Spring 2012 and have been tearing through the world’s top rosters.

Team SoloMid: Winners of the MLG Spring Championship, MLG Providence 2011, IPL 4, the Gigabyte eSports LAN, the Reign of Gaming International Invitational, and the Leaguecraft ggClassic, SoloMid will be looking to maintain their MLG winning streak at the Arena.

Qualifying Teams:
EU Qualifier: Team Black: The European winners are a newly-formed team who hit the scene with a bang, blasting through the MLG Online Qualifiers and taking out Curse EU in the Final.

NA Qualifier: Curse Gaming: Curse squeaked into the Top 8 at the MLG Spring Championship and in the Online Qualifier, they defeated CLG Black and Orbit Gaming. VOD from the NA Online Qualifier Final will be available soon on
