EVE Online developer CCP has announced that the first beta period for PlayStation 3-exclusive MMO FPS Dust 514 will begin on 29 June.

To sign up for the beta you’ll need to register at www.Dust514.com/beta, users will then be chosen to compete in the beta weekend at random. If you don’t get in first time around, more beta events are planned throughout the summer.

If you log into the Dust 514 space on PlayStation Home you can grab yourself a beta key granting access to all the game’s beta events from now until launch.

Dust 514 is also getting an app for the PS Vita. Dubbed Dust 514: Neocom, the app allows you to keep track of your in-game friends, customise your avatar and load-outs and make use of the in-game messaging system.
