Diablo 3 Real Money Auction House Launches
After a spate of bannings earlier today, Blizzard has this evening launched their Real Money Auction house for Diablo 3. Currently the auction house only allows the selling of items with commodities going live at a later date.
The system has only launched in North America and other regions are set to roll out in the near future. There are still concerns over latency issues and Blizzard will be limiting the traffic into the RMAH during peak gaming hours which will no doubt cause frustration for anyone wanting to use the system.
Initial reports show items going into the RMAH at high values and then slowly dropping in value to figures like $1.50. It is going to take time for the market to establish itself, assuming the farmers don’t get in and start devaluing everything up for auction.
