Sleeping Dogs will go on sale in the UK on 17 August, Square Enix has confirmed. It will be available simultaneously on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. It will be released on 14 August in North America.
In addition, a limited edition has been announced which contains various in-game items (see below). The limited edition will only be available to those that have pre-ordered the game from certain retails, although which retailers you’ll need to pick has yet to be confirmed.
It’s also worth noting that the limited edition content listed below applies only to the console editions, a seperate set of digital PC extra content is due to be announced soon.
My hands-on preview of Sleeping Dogs went rather well, it’s a game worthy of taking a look at if any for the sheer volume of content that being crammed into it.
We also have an interview with Square Enix London’s Alastair Cornish, who talks us through why the publisher picked the game up in the first place and what they’re hoping to achieve through it.
Full breakdown of the limited edition content (all content is in-game):
 ‘George St. Pierre (GSP)’ content:

GSP’s signature “flying punch”
Exclusive GSP outfit including T-shirts, headband and shorts
The GSP outfit unlocks the “flying punch” and increases grappling and throwing damage

 ‘Police Protection’ content:

Exclusive “High Speed” Mission
Exclusive HK Police SWAT Outfit
Exclusive assault rifle
Exclusive SWAT Police Vehicle
