Elite-inspired space trading sim is Notch’s next game

Minecraft creator Markus ‘Notch’ Persson’s next game will be a “sandbox space trading sim” in the Elite (1984) mould. 
However, Notch has teased that, unlike Elite, players will be able to explore various interior areas of their trading ship. 
“I want the space game that’s more like Firefly,” said Notch. “I want to run around on my ship and have to put out a fire. Like, oh crap, the cooling system failed, I have to put out the fire here.”
Like Minecraft, this new game will probably be open to players before it’s fully finished which will allow us to see the game in various stages of conception.
