Bethesda cancelling Prey 2?

A horrible rumour is doing the rounds on the internet right now… apparently, Bethesda are all set to announce this Monday that Prey 2 has been cancelled. 
The “reliable source”, from which the rumour has come, explains that the cancellation is the reason that press have been unable to see the game for the past half a year. Gamescom 2011 was the last time we saw it ourselves, a preview of what was shown can be found here.  
It would be a terrible shame if Prey 2 really has been cancelled because, from what we’ve seen, it was shaping up to be an excellent title that’s going in a new and exiting direction. It was for that reason that we named it one of our most anticipated titles of 2012. 
Fingers crossed this is all a misunderstanding and that we’ll still be playing Prey 2, as originally promised, at some point later this year.
