RIFT Lite launches with v1.7 update

1 Feb 2012 by Paul Younger
TRION has today announced the launch of RIFT Lite to coincide with the v1.7 patch update. This new trial version of the game enables new players to play up to level 20 with no restrictions. The new Lite version will also include today's v1.7 update with new features such as Ascended weddings, the River of Souls Chronicle, new Master Mode Dungeon, Expert Dungeon overhaul, item revamp and new preset Souls. “In the past ten months, Rift has evolved at a breakneck pace, through seven massive updates that set new expectations for live MMOs, in features, in content, and in service,” said Scott Hartsman, Executive Producer of Rift and Trion’s CCO. “We think a Lite edition with no time limit is the best way for players to see what an amazing experience Rift continues to be.”   The Lite version of the game can be picked up from here and we also have some new shots of the v1.7 update which is about to go live.
