Diablo 3 release date coming in the near future

Blizzard’s Jay Wilson posted a note to the Diablo 3 community this evening giving a status update on the game’s progress, and according to Jay, we will be hearing about a release date in the “near future”. 
Blizzard has been holding off finalising a release date while some of the fundamental game systems such as the skill rune system were being ironed out, but it sounds like the game is now in the final stages.

Aion F2P gets EU launch date
