Update
Rayman Origins will ship on PC without DRM.
Original Story
There was a time (about two months ago) when ‘Ubisoft’ and ‘PC’ in the same sentence could only mean delays, cancellations or some kind of claim that all PC gamers are pirates.
It seems that the Ubisoft is looking to turn a corner by releasing all of their major console games on the old mouse and keyboard setup. It happened with Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, it’s been announced that it’s happening with Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and now it’s happening to Rayman Origins – it’s expected on 30 March.
Rayman Origins will launch at retail and on the online Ubishop. It will also release “online” although no specific distribution channels have been confirmed.
The game recieved a glowing review from us late year, our 9/10 write up describing it as “the perfect antidote to the generic FPS, and a breath of fresh air in today’s market.” It also managed to grab 23rd in our top games of 2011 list.
