Assassin’s Creed 3 will be ‘biggest yet’, says Ubisoft
This year will (obviously) see another see another entry into the Assassin’s Creed series. Odds on that the 2012 installment will be the ‘proper’ Assassin’s Creed 3 that we’ve all been waiting for.
Admit it, the series has been getting stale since Brotherhood. It needs a change.
However, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has said that the annual release schedule for the franchise is necessary to “satisfy the demand” and that this next game will be “the biggest yet”.
“Assassin’s Creed is an incredible franchise and there are a lot of expectations that it will continue to grow,” Guillemot told MCV.
“We are pleased with our continued success so far: in the US, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations was a top ten title for the entire calendar year, which shows that the demand is definitely there.
“We think that delivering regular instalments and expanding the brand to other platforms will continue to satisfy the demand, while at the same time attracting new fans.
“And we’re confident that the next instalment of Assassin’s Creed will be the biggest to date.”
The location for the next game in the series has yet to be confirmed, however Ubisoft has been asking fans to complete a survey of possible eras and environments.
