Skyrim PC requirements; are you up for the quest?

Gather up your arms (graphics cards) and venture into the darkness (driver upgrades) to see if you can run The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the PC.
Running it on minimum looks like a challenge akin to slaying a rat with a bad cold, but bunging it up to max settings may prove harder. Like defeating a small squad of Gnolls, say.
Here’s the official word from Bethesda on what you’ll need:
Minimum
Operating System: XP/Vista/7
CPU: Dual Core 2GHz
Memory: 2GB RAM
Video card: DX9c, 512MB RAM
Recommended
Operating System: XP/Vista/7
CPU: Quad-Core Intel/AMD
Memory: 4GB RAM, 6GB HD
Video card: DX9 1GB RAM (GTX 260/Radeon 4890 or higher)
