Winning team to take part in World Championships in LA.
Sunday 7 August will see the first UK championship for Call of Duty. 32 four-person teams will face off at London’s Sound Nightclub in Leicester Square in a bid to win the one qualifying spot open for the UK at the Call of Duty XP world championship in LA this September.
The tournament will be played using Call of Duty: Black Ops. Call of Duty: Elite will be in action at the event, providing spectators with al kinds of stats and analysis. If you think you’ve got the skills you can register now at www.CODUKChampionships.co.uk. Participants must be over 18.
Call of Duty XP in Los Angeles features a $1 million prize-pool and will also present an opportunity to play the multiplayer mode in the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Sadly, I doubt I’m anywhere near the required skill level to take part.
