EA has announced that the number of pre-orders for its upcoming Medal of Honor is the highest in the franchise's 11-year history. Medal of Honor is competing directly with Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops and Microsoft's Halo: Reach for ownership of this Christmas' first-person shooter market, so the likely to buoy EA's shareholders.  Medal of Honor has generated quite a bit of buzz recently, leading up to its Oct 12 and Oct 15 launch in the US and Europe respectively, not least because of it position on including the Taliban as playable characters in multiplayer.
