Activision Blizzard Joins TIGA
TIGA has announced that industry giant Activision Blizzard has joined TIGA, the UK’s videogame trade association that has been lobbying hard for industry tax relief here in the UK.
Take-Two: Bioshock 2 "Profitable" But "Not Hugely Successful"
Speaking to VentureBeat, CEO of Take-Two Ben Feder has noted that although Bioshock 2 was “profitable” for the publisher, he considers it “ultimately successful, but not hugely successful.”
Accurate sales data is always difficult to find in these cases, but back in June 2009 Take-Two’s Strauss Zelnick suggested that the original Bioshock had sold (at that time) around three million copies.
Virtual Reality Trialed As Treatment For Agoraphobia
Dr Eric Malbos, of Australia’s Macquarie University, has been studying the effectiveness of using virtual reality (VR) exposure therapy on patients who suffer from Agoraphobia (defined as “the fear of being in places or situations from which escape might be difficult or embarrassing.”)
“The goal here is to demonstrate the clinical efficiency of VR exposure therapy: does it really treat these patients and alleviate them from their phobias?
Spec Ops: The Line Multiplayer Details
Cory Davis from Yager has told IncGamers that we can expect a multiplayer mode which will tie into the story and the campaign.In an interview with IGTV, Davis said that although the company weren’t focusing on discussing the multiplayer gaming, there would be a comprehensive multiplayer.
