Guild Wars 2 Dynamic Events Overview

Guild Wars 2’s Lead Content Designer has talked about the dynamic event system, how it works and how it makes GW2 different from all the other MMOs out there. Colin Johanson explains how questing in most current MMOs leaves a lot to be desired, and how the GW2 team set out the improve the experience for gamers: “In Guild Wars 2, our event system won’t make you read a huge quest description to find out what’s going on.” He continues “You’ll experience it by seeing and hearing things in the world.

World Of Warcraft: Cataclysm Profession Preview

World of Warcraft players have been given an extensive look at how professions will be affected in the MMO’s upcoming expansion, Cataclysm.World of Warcraft community manager Wryxian posted up a long list of changes that will be applied to the various primary and secondary professions and, although there are still things being added, there are heaps of alterations and additons in store already.”While the Cataclysm updates to many of the professions are still deep in development, we wanted to share some of the work that’s been going on, as well as a high-level look at any lessons learned or changes to their underlying philosophies during the design process.
