Capcom has announced that it has appointed David Reeves as the Chief Operating Officer of Capcom Entertainment Europe.Reeves was formerly the president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, having worked with the company for 14 years during which time he set up operations in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and oversaw the launch of the PlayStation across Europe.“I established a close working relationship with Capcom during my time at Sony and have always admired its commitment to push boundaries and develop innovative titles,” gushed Reeves. “It is therefore a real pleasure to now join this organisation and be a part of its future successes.”Capcom is obviously happy, too. “We are very pleased to have secured the services of someone of David’s calibre,” commented the president of Capcom Entertainment Europe, Hiroshi Tobisawa. “He brings with him an unprecedented level of industry knowledge and expertise which will be invaluable as we look to grow our European operation.”Capcom is currently working on Lost Planet 2 and Super Street Fighter IV, amongst other things, and we’re looking forward to both.
