City Of Heroes: New Guest Author Mission Arcs

27 Jan 2010 by Paul Younger
A trio of top names in the games and fiction industry have crafted new scenarios for the superhero MMO, City of Heroes, via the Mission Architect feature.

These contributors include Austin Grossman who worked on Deus Ex and System Shock, Mercedes Lackey, author of the Heralds of Valdemar series, and Troy Hickman, the man behind the award-winning comic book, Common Grounds.

The new missions are available now and can be found in the Mission Architect search facility; Grossman's mission, Return of the Crime Cabal, sees three new villains threaten Paragon City. Players must learn their story in order to defeat them. Lackey's story, Mystery on the Boardwalk takes players to investigate a little haunting, and Hickman's tale sends players up against a WWII villain who has kidnapped Jimmy Preston. See images of the encounters below.

Find out more about the Mission Architect feature in our previous coverage.
