Sega has successfully appealed Australia’s refusal to classify Aliens vs Predator. The long and short of it is that the game is no longer banned in Australia, and will be released – uncut – with an MA15+ rating.“It is with great pleasure that we announce the success of our appeal,” the general manager of Sega Australia, Darren Macbeth, told Kotaku.”We are particularly proud that the game will be released in its original entirety, with no content altered or removed whatsoever,” Macbeth continued. “This is a big win for Australian gamers. We applaud the Classification Review Board on making a decision that clearly considers the context of the game, and is in line with the modern expectations of reasonable Australians.”Rebellion previously told us no cuts would be made for any region, and we’re glad to see that’s been upheld. Check out our full interview for more on what you can expect from the game, with talk of melee, multiplayer, maps, and more.Aliens vs Predator is due out on PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 sometime in early 2010.
