ARMA 2 Demo Released

Croteam Developing Serious Sam HD

Croteam is reportedly creating Serious Sam HD for Xbox LIVE Arcade.According to a press release, Serious Sam HD – an HD re-imagining of the first game – will hit XBLA late summer, for the princely sum of 1200 Microsoft Points.The original game was a superb throwback to first-person shooters of old, with lots enemies appearing everywhere, all of which requires judicious blasting.

Zeno Clash Receives Free DLC

ACE Team has announced that Zeno Clash will receive free DLC over the weekend called The Pit.Three new levels for players to explore will be included in the DLC.“Destructible floors and traps await the skilled who want to reach the bottom of the pit alive,” explained the ACE team.If you haven’t picked up the game yet Steam is offering 50% off this weekend for the title.

Square Enix Being Sued

100,000 customers are suing Square Enix for “unfair business practices, false advertising, and unjust enrichment.”The game that has put Square Enix in trouble is MMORPG Final Fantasy XIEsther Leong of San Francisco is the named plaintiff who brought the action to court and believes that Square Enix lied about or concealed its monthly fees.The group are looking for damages in the excess of $5 million USD.

Dawn of War 2 Getting Map Editor

A map editor has been announced for Dawn of War 2 and will come free with the ‘There is Only War’ update.This will be added along with the other additions planned for the update which we reported on last week.Gamers will be able to create new maps for the multiplayer community and will include urban, desert, tyrannoformed, and jungle map types.Terrain will be able to be modified, as well as having the choice to add cover, choose weather, and size of the map.User generated maps will have the choice of supporting two, four or six players.A sample map and user guide on the world builder will be included in the update.The beta for the update will be available in July with the final version being accessible towards the end of the summer.Check out the announcement at the Dawn of War 2 website here.
