StarCraft II ‘Certainly’ Not Close To Final

StarCraft II lead game designer, Dustin Browder, claims the game is nowhere near as complete as it looks.

Browder answered questions on features of the upcoming game, including how air combat has changed from the original game, how Protoss building warp-in are similar but upgraded and how Terran and Zerg building animations look when damaged.

He also stated the game is nowhere near where fans think it is in terms of development.

“If this looks really good, it must be close to final,” is a common fan opinion, but “that’s certainly not how the art team feels about it” says Browder.

He says the team has been going over it and hitting individual units as they have gone forward “and the Zerg in terms of their buildings and even their units are still the furthest behind in that respect.”

We have posted further details on our StarCraft II network site, and more Blizzard news can be found here.
