New Virtua Tennis Screens Released

Sega has released a batch of new screens from Virtua Tennis 2009.The screens, from the PC/PS3/Xbox 360 versions of the game, depict action on clay, grass and hard courts and show off the classic “high” VT camera angle as well as a view nearer to court level.The game is set to add some new faces to the VT player roster, including Britain’s Andy Murray and Ana Ivanovic.

Lighthouse Interactive Announces Bankruptcy

Dutch/Canadian video publisher, Lighthouse Interactive, has been officially declared bankrupt.
The bankruptcy is due to parent company, Silverbirch Incorporated going into liquidation, and the bankruptcy of Silverbirch’s largest debtor, Pinnacle Entertainment.

GDC: Ubisoft’s R.U.S.E. Detailed

A few more details on R.U.S.E., Ubisoft’s new RTS that’s hopefully going to break some new ground in the genre, have popped up at the GDC.The game was demoed, showing enemy and allied units, with allied tanks tasked with destroying the enemy anti-air units.Doing this would attract the attention of the nearby enemy tanks, however, which was not the desired effect.

Left 4 Dead Update Released

Valve has a released an update for the PC version of its co-op zombie shooter, Left 4 Dead.The update, available on Steam now, addresses some minor bugs as well as introducing fatigue to the melee attack.The full list of changes:Introduced fatigue to the melee attack in versus mode.

Blizzard In Talks With Microsoft About Next Xbox

Blizzard’s Rob Pardo confirmed that Blizzard has been in talks with Microsoft about the next Xbox console.While he wouldn’t give away any information on what the discussions have been about, he confirmed Blizzard is actively talking to the Xbox giant.Pardo did, however, say he believes controls are a big problem when it comes to porting games over to the consoles.”There are so many games like we make at Blizzard that we don’t take to consoles because they don’t support the input device and you end up with crappy ports.
