Disney Reveals G-Force Game

Disney Interactive Studios has announced that it will be publishing games based on the forthcoming G-Force movie.They’re on just about every system under the sun, with the 360, PS2, PS3, PC, and Wii versions being developed by Eurocom, while the DS and PSP versions will be handled by Keen Games, whose most recent release is What’s Cooking With Jamie Oliver.Players will control team leader Darwin and surveillance commando Mooch, teaming up with other G-Force members in an attempt to save the world from an army of evil household appliances.

Dead Rising 2 Has Multiplayer, Huge Zombie Hordes (Updated)

A slip at the GDC has revealed that Dead Rising 2 will feature multiplayer, as well as zombie hordes of unprecedented number.IGN were clearly paying attention during a panel regarding the making of Dead Rising 2 at the recent event, as Laura Scholl, product manager of Mental Mill, gave out some news we haven’t heard before.Scholl stated that Dead Rising 2 will be capable of tracking at least 800 separate clothing textures, in order to give the sense that zombies are unique – and with the technology they’re using, players could experience as many as 6000 characters onscreen during multiplayer sessions.We’re assuming this doesn’t mean multiplayer will support 6000 characters, but this does appear to confirm that Dead Rising 2 will feature multiplayer.

EA are scheduling an animated movie for Dante’s Inferno.It’s unclear whether or not this animated movie is the same movie we’ve previously reported on, but we’d guess not.The team producing the animated feature film is Film Roman – the same group that produced the Dead Space: Downfall animated movie.

Marvel Universe Set For 2012

Marvel Universe is due to hit sometime in 2012.Speaking to MTV Multiplayer Blog, Marvel’s president of worldwide consumer products, Simon Philips, commented that the project is still in the early stages of development, and has no connections to the previously cancelled Marvel MMO.The MMO is set to lead on from the Avengers movie, scheduled in 2012, but isn’t the only MMO that Marvel is looking into.Also on their list is Super-Hero Squad, a simpler MMO aimed at five-to-ten year olds, due out in 2010.

Multiplayer DLC Planned For Dark Athena

The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Dark Athena will be getting bonus multiplayer maps as DLC.Despite the fact that the game has yet to launch, IGN have been told that DLC is already planned.The game ships with 15 maps, and the DLC will reportedly contain five more – although there’s no other information.

Developer Sheds Light On Alan Wake

Remedy have given out some more details on Alan Wake.According to IGN, Remedy’s head of franchise development Oskari Hakkinen spoke to Gamer.no about Alan Wake, and they managed to tease a little more information out of him.As we already know, Alan Wake is a story-based game, described as a “psychological action thriller.” Wake himself is a best-selling writer suffering writer’s block, and so his wife, Alice, takes him to the town of Bright Falls – where things, inevitably, go horribly wrong.

Cyrptic Studios are encouraging guilds to register their guild for the superhero MMORPG Champions Online to take a part in the Beta testing process.MMORPG gamers who are part of a guild simply have to register on the official website, fill in a form and supply their guild’s name, website and a list of email addresses so other guild members can receive an invite.We assume that approved guilds will receive an invite quite quickly as Cryptic state: “Once we do an authenticity check to make sure you’re human and not some kind of malicious cyborg, we’ll hook up the invites and have you and your guild mates playing in no time.”In a guild?
